At club, we talked about how the kids could have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Your child wanted to speak with one of our leaders and prayed to trust in Jesus as his/her personal Savior.
Here is the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ that we shared with your child:
“God loves you and created you and wants you to know him and love him too. (John 3:16)
But we were all born with a sin problem, which is wanting to go our own way instead of God’s Way. (Romans 3:23)
The punishment for our sin is spiritual death or separation from God both now and through eternity. (Romans 6:23)
God sent his perfect Son Jesus to take the punishment for our sins. He died on the cross for us, but then three days later, he rose from the dead, proving that he was God’s perfect Son, the only one who can save us from our sins. (1 Corinthians 15:3-4)
The Bible says in Acts 16:31 that if we “Believe in the Lord Jesus, you will be saved.”
When you believe in Jesus that just means that you agree that Jesus took that punishment for your sins so that you can become a child of God. As a child of God, He promises to forgive us of our sins, change us on the inside so that we can have a special relationship with Him on earth, and then someday live forever with God in heaven. (John 1:12)
Here are some great questions to ask your child about the decision they made:
Why did Jesus die for you? (John 3:16)
What is sin? And what did Jesus do so that you can have your sins forgiven? (1 Corn 15:3-4)
What does it mean to be a child of God? (John 1:12)
“Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved.” Acts 16:31
Our prayer at Good News Club is that your child will continue to grow in his/her new relationship with Jesus. If you would like to learn more about this decision that your child made or if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us or your club coordinator.
Thank you for giving us the privilege to teach and guide your child at Good News Club every week!
